About Me

Jessica Silva is a young adult writer born and raised in the Seattle metropolitan area, which broadly means she enjoys coffee and nature but not at the same time. She tells stories she wishes she'd read as a growing girl. Sometimes that includes kissing, magic, gadgets, kick-ass fight scenes, spying, lying, independent and damaged girls, damaged and independent boys, and lots of reality. The book she's currently working on is SECONDARY, a young adult science fiction novel.

Outside of writing, she's a part-time intern extraordinaire; she interns in the psychology department at the University of Washington and remotely for literary agent Elana Roth of Red Tree Literary. Other than reading and writing, she likes the following things (you may judge at will): Seattle, indie music (a topic all of its own), boots, olive green, boys who look homeless but aren't actually homeless please, anime, apple juice, watching the sunset over the Puget Sound, flannel shirts, floral patterns, curly hair, autumn, baking cookies, eating cookies, shopping all the time, jellyfish, coffee, and more coffee, collages, driving through forests, manga, pineapple, wearing flats when it's not ice-cold outside, also lists if you couldn't tell.
