Weekly Critiques

SO you've heard about my weekly critiques and you want to check out how it works. Here are the details:

  • I will critique once a week, so that's four times a month, and up to fifty-two chances a year to participate. (So I may take off a week here or there. I can do that, riiiight?)

  • I will randomly select one person for the critique.

  • I will critique the first 700 words of your manuscript (YA/MG only). NOT the last 700 or the middle 700. The first 700. And if I can't tell, then that isn't good.

  • Although I will post the critiques on my blog for the public, writers may choose to be anonymous, or even delay the reveal.

  • I really, really encourage people to leave their thoughts, feelings, feedback, suggestions, and/or critique (even anonymously, if necessary) in the comments.

  • At some point, I'll be introducing once a month guest critiques.

REALLY? Aweeeeesome! Email silvacritiques(@)gmail.com with...

  3. The first 700 words of your manuscript (attachments are fine). Don't end in the middle of a sentence, though. I won't fault you for going a little over as long as you reach a period!

  5. Whether or not you'd like to be kept anonymous. Default is YES.
